Water is purified by monks who recite specific chants, making it holy and pure. This holy water is often used during blessings for important occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and marriage ceremonies, and is believed to bring happiness and prosperity to those who partake in it. In Vajrayana Buddhism, it is customary to offer seven water bowls to Buddha and other holy figures to remedy greed.
What to Wear
Light and loose-fitting cotton clothes are ideal for the hot and humid weather.
Put on flip-flops or trainers; we do not walk much.
Bring a scarf or shawl to cover your head and shoulders, especially for women visiting Buddhist pagodas.
Bring your raincoat or poncho or an umbrella in case it rains.

Sunscreen lotion to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.
Insect repellent and other bugs are prevalent in the area.
A small backpack to carry all your essentials.
